Rosa Rainey, Resident In Counseling
Rosa Rainey is a counseling resident who brings steady encouragement, practical tools, and compassionate support to help clients move forward. She holds a master’s degree from Norfolk State University and a bachelor’s in psychology from Saint Leo University.
Rosa works with adults who are ready to break old patterns, manage stress and anxiety with greater clarity, and navigate challenges in work, family, or relationships. Her approach is warm, direct, and action-focused. She believes therapy should feel like a genuine conversation—where clients feel safe to share, explore new perspectives, and leave with small, realistic steps they can apply right away.
Grounded in a Person-Centered framework with a strong emphasis on Reality Therapy, Rosa guides clients to focus on what they can control and discover practical solutions. She also integrates evidence-based practices such as Solution-Focused Therapy and Cognitive-Behavioral techniques to support meaningful, lasting change in daily life. Rosa offers realistic strategies for managing stress, anxiety, self-esteem concerns, and life transitions. Her goal is to provide a supportive space where clients across Virginia feel encouraged to sort through challenges and move forward at their own pace.
